"Taste this!" Charbay Distillers' Port is a tribute to the 'hyerpcreative' (NY Times) Miles and Marko, who personally distill the barrel-aged Alambic brandies to make port here in Napa Valley.
Our latest is made from 2006 Cabernet Franc grapes that were late-picked & whole-berry fermented at our winery in St. Helena. The fermentation was 'arrested' with 6-year old Charbay brandy made in the family's Alambic Charentais Pot Still.
Full-bodied with layers of rich flavor: ripe cherry, then chocolate and raspberries. Velvety, semi-dry finish.
